BJ and I knew each other socially for a few years but I got to know him best when we played co-ed softball for 61 Country radio station back in 1979 and 1980. He was Third base, Second base was Mike Crow and the Pitcher Phil Young all men over 6'5" that loved to see how hard and fast they could throw the softball to a girl on First base.
