Not sure what to say?

My mother worked at Rices Pharmacy in the early 70´s. She always spoke kindly of Johnnie and enjoyed her time working for him. Rices was a special place to visit with the smell of candles and all the Hallmark products. Johnnie and the pharmacy were a great Corvallis story.

Johnnie was just like a father to me. I still miss him dearly. But I know he´s resting in the arms of Jesus!

Carol, You and Johnny were like mom and dad to us. He will be missed greatly. His quick wit will always remind me of the times we shared together. We are so sorry for your loss and ours. We love you!

Sorry for your loss. May your wonderful memories help. Love and prayers.

Condolences to your whole family! I worked in the pharmacy one year post college. Johnnie was a great boss and it was easy to see how passionate he was about his work, business, OSU, and the whole community. Rice´s Pharmacy was my favorite store in the whole world growing up and I couldn´t wait to be old enough to work there. I´m so glad that dream came true for me. I loved working in the gift department best but I also liked working at the pharmacy counter cause there was always so much...

Dear Mrs. Rice and the family. I wanted offer my deepest condolences. He will be missed so many. Thank you for all that you both did for Corvallis and OSU. Your impact on our community is so profound and heartfelt by so many. Fondest of memories, Susan

Carol we were saddened to hear of the passing of your sweetheart but know how blessed you are to have had all these wonderful years together. We appreciate both of you and your friendship all these years and wish we could be there for his memorial but we will still be in Yuma. Thank you for all the happy memories and both your outgoing happy personalities that served you well in business and with all who are better because of knowing you.

Dear Carol & family, My deepest sympathy, plenty of good memories, George

One of the first places we visited when we moved to Corvallis in1970 was to Rice's Pharmacy. I'll never forget the big man behind the counter in his white coat with his big smile. Johnnie never lost the big smile but Corvallis has lost a true friend.
