It was a privilege knowing Mr. Walters, from supporting the same political candidates, to functions of the Guild of the Greenville Symphony, and traveling with him on the Honor Flight. I enjoyed reading his book. He is a gentleman that we all will miss.

...my husband and I had the pleasure of being neighbors with the Walters on Main Street for a number of years. He "recruited" us into the neighborhood association he spearheaded to the benefit our area. We actually named one of our dogs in his honor after asking if it would be ok! And, Johnnie Mac would bring "Mac" the dog a bone each year for Christmas. He was the consummate southern gentleman and we are proud to have known him. Our thoughts are with his entire family.
