Not sure what to say?

Please accept my sympathy in the loss of Johnny. I didn't know him very well, but have memories of him during visits to Aunt Blanche through the years. I pray that God will give each of you peace in knowing that he is in a better place and no longer suffering.

Johnny was one of my best westside running buddys. We went to school togather Thomasboro, Wilson, West and then we were bussed to West Charlotte. We went for about two weeks and one day we quit and went fishing behind MT. Island dam. He got me a date with his cousin Barbara. I can`t remember the girls name he was with but she got mad when he drove up the exit of the Viking Twin drive in.It was 1969.Some how we lost track of each other over the years. I just wish I could thank him for that...

One evening, several years ago I called Johnny and ask him to come quickly, we had a snake in the house! He came with his tools from his fireplace. He was able to capture the snake and remove it
from the house. Sometime after I found out that he was really terrified of snakes. But, he didn't seem terrified at all,in fact he was our hero that day.

When I think of Johnny Blanton, I think of him helping others, he was a great neighbor and def a part of our family and I can remember him just like it was yesterday before the cancer hit. This has sadden my heart and its really hard to hold back tears. Its just different when you see someone just about everyday. He has such an awesome family behind him that loves him very much and you hate to see someone...
