Mr. Johnny Carroll Cannon, 69, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Frye Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health. Johnny was born on January 13, 1950 in Burke County to the late JC Cannon and Lottie Gilliand Cannon. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church and was self employed in the auto paint and repair business for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Cannon. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Lingle Cannon of the home, and two children, Cristy Bost and husband Dan of Morganton, and John Cannon and wife Jennifer of Connelly Springs. Also surviving are two brothers, Joe Cannon and wife Myrtle, and Billy Cannon and wife Wanda, one sister, Judy Cannon, and two grandchildren, Angel Barnett and Jeremiah Bost. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Berea Baptist Church, with Rev. Dale Leonhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Valdese. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Berea Baptist Church in Connelly Springs.
