When I was growing up, I was best friends with John's oldest son, Johnny III. I knew him as a good man who always treated me as if I was a son of his own. He told some of the best stories I've ever heard and I'm sure he will be missed by all. My prayers and sympathy are with his family always.

I went to school with John in Derby and I always enjoyed his humor and he always made you smile. Its been years since I have seen him but his name and memory I will never forget. Best wishes to his family. He will be missed.

We are very sorry to hear of John's passing. We knew John and Shawna through our children. Our children knew each other growing up. John was a great guy and he'll be missed. Our condolences to Shawna, Samantha, Johnny and Chris from Henry, Teresa, Kiky, Ralph and Matt Rodriguez

I always called him little Johnny when he would come to Coffeyville, Kansas, and I recall grandfather given him a horse ride down on Kansas street in Coffeyville. Sure wish I had got to know him better over the years, being his cousin.
I will say a prayer for him and his family.

I was shocked to hear the news of John's passing. He was a good friend. I will always remember fishing on the cottonwood river and the good times hanging out with his family. Miss you John
