Not sure what to say?

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Lyon a few years ago when he came to play in Corpus Christi, Texas. After the concert we all went out for a bit to eat. The next day he was playing at Schroeder Hall and we went to go hear him play, we really enjoyed his music. Just knowing him for that short time we have always and will always hold him in the highest regards...he was so kind to us, and just now finding out about his passing we are both saddened. My Friend Randy Corner told me about Johnny Foster Lyon. Sounded like a remarkable human being, may he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about our loss. Johnny was a good friend. I had the honor of Johnny recording one of my songs. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Johnny was one of my closest friends and was always there for me. I will always remember his sense of humor and his love for people and music. He taught me a lot and always went out of his way to help me. I guess Heaven has a country singer and a bunch of two steppin going on now. Rest in Peace brother you will be missed.

Johnny was my Military Science Professor and the Commandant of Cadets of the Air Force R.O.T.C. unit at SouthWest Texas. We struck up a forty year friendship that began in the fall of 1969. He was one of the hardest working individuals I ever met. He was a pleasure to be around and a great Texan. I will miss him. Glen Allan Hardwick ( Houston, Texas)

Johnny and I have been friends for almost 40 years and I shall miss him, especially our lively discussions about the Longhorns and Aggies. It was a tough loss. My sympathies to Suzy, Terri, and the rest of the Lyon family.

My sincerest condolences to the family.
We all lost a little something when Johnny left us.
"Johnny we hardly knew ya..."
Rest in peace.

It was a pleasure to meet such a kind and givng man. His presence will be greatly missed at the yearly Liberty Hill Livestock Associtaion fundraiser. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I travelled with Johnny, played steel guitar behind him and recorded on some of his records. He was always a gentleman and a good friend. I will always remember how he helped move my career forwards and helped me. My condolences to the family, he was a fine man.
