Saw John perform for the First time with my then Fiancé 1977 in Brooklyn. We hired Ricky Mango s Vand to play at our wedding at the Nsrraganzet inn on LI 1979. During a Break Rick came over with Johnny who actually stopped in to say hello and Congratulate us he actually Remembered us. He was Gracious enough to do a song for us with the Band. One of a kind voice. Later on My cousin and I formed a Band called The Li paramounts. And managed to play some gigs opening g for Johnny and the Bridge....

You represent the very best in doo wop lead singers, revered by by the entire "streetlights" culture...R.I.P. Johnny Maestro!

Arguably the greatest vocalist in the genre of doo wop!

Johnny Maestro was perhaps the most talented singer of his era. My favorite was "The Worst That Could Happen" with Brooklyn Bridge. We will never have anyone else like him. Rest in Paradise Johnny. You are forever missed.

Saw Johnny at Tanner Park in what was a beautiful night outside and they were great as always. He personafied what a class act should be. My wife and i cherished his music.R.I.P.
