To me, that isn't quite enough to be given a card with a name on it, so I found Sgt. Polk's obituary and this guestbook.

Staff Sergeant Johnny Polk was my gun truck sergeant and Friend in Iraq 2004. I have many memories of him and I doing FoB over watch guard at Camp Steel Dragon, while I got out in 2005 he stayed in and when I heard of his passing it hurt me deeply. Johnny Polk you were good man and chief. Miss you man.
