To the Family of Bro.Johnny Scott..

Bro Scott was very nice to me when I was the evening drummer at Historic Second before Hurricane Katrina. I will never forget him and the late Deacon Celesten. You have my prayers.

My Condolences To The Scott Family. May God's Peace Be With You All During This Time Of Sorrow. May God Be You In Your New Journey Mr. Johnny. R.I.P. My Brother.

I grew up at the Historic Second Baptist Church. Thomas Nelson Washington, pastored me. Deacon Johnny Scott and I sang in the tenor section for the radio choir. He was someone I greatly admired for his quite leadership. Evryone should be encouraged because this Christian man is where he belongs. God bless the family . I was blessed because I crossed his path.

Mr Johnny had a sweet, kind and gentle soul. He truly was an upscale father of our Claiborne Gardens family. My heart and prayers are with the Scott family. May God give you comfort at this time of need. Luv ya,

To my neighborhood family of Claiborne Gardens, Miss Gladys and all of the Scott family. We all know a great man has transitioned from earth to glory. We rejoice in knowing that Mr. Johnny is absent from the body and present with the Lord! My prayers and thoughts are with you. Let the work he has done continue to speak through the many generations he has taught and lead by great example-live on through each of you, his family. I love you all with the love of Christ.

What a kind and giving man he was. I will always remember him as the unofficial guardian of "Claiborne Gardens" when my family moved to this brand new subdivision back in the early 1970's for a better way of life. He always gave me good advice and was wise beyond his years even back then. He was a big influence over me during my sometimes difficult teenage years.
God be with the Scott family. Thank you "Mr. Johnny" you will be missed, but always remembered.

Often, I asked about you and will always remember your smile; your joking attitude; and your zest for life!!!! I am blessed to have known you. My prayers are with Mrs. Gladys Scott and your entire family.
