Johnny Walden Obituary
He fought the good fight with lung cancer for two years before the Lord called him home.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla. The Rev. Larry Garrard will officiate the services. Graveside service and interment to follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.
Mr. Walden was a 1979 of graduate of Etowah High School and was employed with Mueller Co. in Albertville, Ala., as a maintenance mechanic for 35 years. He loved his job. He was an avid fisherman and Alabama fan, but most of all he was a family man. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Wayne Walden.
Left behind to cherish his memory, wife, Tammie Waters Walden; sons, Brandon Franklin (wife, Shea), Joshua Walden (Tashia), Adam Walden (wife, Jeana); mother, Sue Walden; grandchildren, Lilah Walden, Brody Franklin, Clint Elliott; brother, Steve Walden (wife, Sherry); sister, Michelle Shavers (husband, George); special daughter, Sandra Ross; special friends, David Knight, Mickey Locke, Mark Smith, Tony Tidwell; and all the employees of Mueller Co. who were so good to him through his sickness; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Dr. Debora Reiland and staff, Alacare Hospice, the ninth-floor nurses at Gadsden Regional Medical Center and the employees of Mueller Company.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
