Not sure what to say?

I hadn't thought about Johnny Walker for a long time and then talking to my brother, just the other day, I said, "remember Johnny Walker...?" And we talked about him for a while. He was a fine fellow and is still missed to this day... God rest his soul...

Watched him for years with Jerry Lewis. Loved seeing them do the telethon every year. Prayers for the family.

Wow so late yet so shocked. I literally grew up with this man on our television set in Kettering Ohio. Way too young. My deepest belated condolences to his surviving family and friends. He will always be remembered as being kind, compassionate, humorous, and witty. God rest his soul.

i remember club house 22 i love johnny he is in heaven with his heavenly father his love will shine on us all

I think this is the same Johnny Walker that worked briefly at WKGN in Knoxville TN in 1970 or 1971...top 40 format...was very good at his 6-10 pm slot..his "catch phrase" was I never talk while the record is playing....he let me intern with him (answering phones, picking songs, etc)...was very quick witted and looking back at the times, he truly was ahead of his time on the air...he had a DJ study course that he developed that he sold...he let me have it for half price !!hahaha...anyway I...

Dear Barbara,

I don't know if you remember me, but you and Johnny were good friends of my wife, Jane, and I when Johnny and I were DJ's at WPTR in Albany in 1965-66. I am so sorry to just have learned of Johnny's passing. It all started when I received an e-mail from someone at Radio London in the UK who had stumbled upon an old aircheck of me at WPTR on the internet. He told me about a DJ on BBC-2 who took Johnny's name around 1967 based on a WPTR Johnny Walker jingle that was...

How many MDA telethon benefits did we do together? Lord, I can't count 'em all. I remember best the nights in Coldwater before the bass tournament with John and Dale Huffman, Dr. Creep and me, among others. John was as committed to MDA and as passionate toward finding a cure as Jerry Lewis is.
We shared many a moment, many a joke...I remember one telethon jumping under the camera giving him the "stretch" sign because Sue Dunaway behind the scenes wasn't done with the final tote board...

WOW WHAT A GREAT TALENT ! GORDY PRICE 30 PLUS YEARS RADIO VETERAN

I was deeply saddened to just learn of the passing of Johnny Walker. I worked with Johnny - m'lords, and m'ladies - Walker back in 1966, at WPTR Radio, in Albany, NY. What a terrific radio announcer he was...he was a professional in every sense of the word...He had the top-rated late afternoon drive-time program - used to call it the Walker Room. My deepest condolences to his family..
