Johnny Wright was born on December 29, 1968 in Pontiac, Michigan to the union of Richard and Lois Wright.   He accepted Christ as a teenager while under the Leadership of Pastor Gregory T. Heathman.


Johnny graduated from Pontiac Northern High School in 1987 where he was an avid football player and wrestler.  He later attended Northwood University in Midland, Michigan studying Liberal Arts.


Johnny started his Auto Salesman Career at Auburn Pontiac in Auburn Hlls, Michigan.   He continued  his career in auto sales at Art Moran GMC in Southfield, Michigan where he served his clients and community for over 22 years within the Metro Detroit area.  During that time, he also proudly participated in the North American International Auto Show for many years.


Johnny was more than just a brother, uncle, cousin, or friend.  He was a people person, and he aways had a kind word or sound advice to share.   His smile would light up any room he entered in.


Johnny made his transition on April 6, 2020, he was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lois Wright; his grandmother, Veola Henderson; and his brother Richard Wright, Jr.


He leaves to cherish his memories, his siblings; Hillery (Mary) Roberson, Leroy Roberson, Veola, Dorothy and Lois Wright, Linda Turner all of Pontiac, MI., Andre (Elma) Chatman of Detroit, MI., Sheryl Wright of Dallas, TX; Eddie (Sydney) Turner of Oak Park, MI; Larry (Becky) Wright, Robert (Cathy) Wright, Mary Wright all of Peoria, IL; Charles Wright of Senatobia, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.


A Family Gathering will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan, from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m.  Mr. Wright will be laid to rest at Perry Mt Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.

Johnny Wright was a warm and loving individual. Always Welcome both myself and my wife Lisa into the dealership giving us the knowledge, wisdom and Godly Love. To my friend Johnny Wright. I remember as a kid playing baseball in my backyard and hitting baseball's in your yard on the next street,because we lived right behind Johnny. He would throw the ball back i say Chris another homerun. So i would say yeah,thanks 4 the ball. So to my friend, rest in heaven you will truly be missed.
