Not sure what to say?

Johnson Haynes was a great man who I will never forget. He taught me to become an anemia and sickle cell expert but also taught how to be the best doctor. I talk about him often when I teach students

A friend and colleague, a true friend, physician and scientist who I will never forget!

I had Dr. Haynes for an ER clerkship at USA. He was an excellent resident to work for and I learned a lot from him. I hate to hear of his passing

Devastated to hear the news of my only adult sickle cell doctor I met Dr. Haynes when I was 19 coming from pediatric sickle cell over to adult sickle cell and it´s been 10 years he was my doctor. Very passionate, kind, and caring, I can´t imagine what or where my life would be without him. May God bless his family and may he rest in peace.

We are sending our condolences to the family. We are so sorry for the Homegoing of your father Jay. Please know that we will keep you and your family in our prayers. We love you

Johnson and I have known each other for 48 years, first `Skegee then USA! But the real story is Dr. Haynes saved my Dad´s life!

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. He was my doctor the best doctor ever.

You all have my deepest condolences. I was so heartbroken when I read the letter about my sickle cell Dr. Haynes passing. I was a patient of his for many years. He was such a brilliant man. Every time I saw him, he had a smile on his face. If I had known about his passing earlier, I would have come to the funeral. Praying for you all.

Johnson was such A brilliant person who loved to help others. When he spoke people listened to every detail. I will miss the wonderful conversations. To the family ; please continue his legacy so others can be inspired by his work. May God comfort you at this time and forever. Lucile Edwards - Friend
