1937 - 2014

Jolethia Green Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13th, 2014. She was born in Charleston, SC on January 8th, 1937. In 1956, she met and married her husband, Larnel. The two moved to Denver, CO in 1958 where they had all five of their children. In 1966, the family moved to Rohnert Park where they lived for two years before moving to Marinwood/San Rafael where she resided until the end. Jo was employed as a school teacher for special education students for 33 years. She considered her job to be a labor of love. Where ever Jo worked-Meadow Park, Gallinas School, Kent School or Marindale School, she was loved and revered by students, families and staff. She had a special gift of being able to work with vast numbers of children with varying disabilities. She was totally focused on doing what was best for students. She never got flustered or angry in the most challenging situations. She was passionate about her job and was always happiest when the days were full of learning and excitement. Jo retired in 2002 and enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, traveling and most of all being in the company of her precious family. Jo is survived by her loving husband, Larnel and five loving children: Dwayne Green, Cheryl Bosque, Patricia Wulbrecht, Tim Green and Craig Green. The family included her son-in-laws Dominic Bosque, Douglas Wulbrecht, and her daughter-in-law Heather Green and nine grandchildren: Erica Bosque, Ryan Terschuren, Veronica and Alexica Bosque, Derek, Sakile, and Malia Wulbrecht, Jeremy Green and Michelle Green. To her in-laws and grandchildren she was and always will be Nana. Though she is in a better place now, she will surely be missed forever. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 29, 2014, 11:00 AM at the Corner Stone Community Church of God in Christ 626 Drake Ave., Marin City, CA 94965 with Visitation from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM.
