Not sure what to say?

Jon will forever be in my heart and part of my life.

Easily one of the finest teachers I ever had through all my education. He radiated warmth, friendliness with a keen, intense intellect. I will always remember him as a great person and teacher. I very much enjoyed his classes and our conversations. Rest in peace my friend.

Hardly a day goes by when I don't think about Jon. I met him for lunch at his wonderful shop and had lunch for a good twenty years. He always made me laugh and told wonderful and philosophical stories. Truly, he was a man of great integrity and compassion. I miss him dearly.

Our long association with Jon began many years ago when we met him at his shop in Sugar House. He kindness and patient humor during many visits as he guided us through the twists, dos and donts during our Volvo mania went well beyond the call of duty.

We were devastated to hear of his passing.

Our visits with him soon reveled that he was much, much more than a Volvo expert. He was truly a man of and for many seasons. We'll miss you Jon!

Emmy and family,

I'm so sorry but I just now heard of Jon's passing. He was, in 40 years retro, the best (and most demanding) teacher I ever had. I learned so much from him, not just in the classroom but the hours of conversation at Westminster. He was a remarkable man. May his memory be eternal.

John was an excellent man. I spent a lot of hours just talking with him after picking up parts for my project Volvo. He had an amazing life, and was a great guy and a rare breed. I'll sincerely miss him. I pray his family is doing well.

Jon was one of the most remarkable men I have ever known, honest, wise, compassionate, inspirational, a role model for me for most of my adult life. I love him dearly.

My sincere condolences and best wishes...few people taught me as much as my friend for 20+yrs. You are missed, until we meet again...much love and respect...Seth Plexico

I just heard the news of Jons passing and wanted to express my condolences to his family, but also let them know how much I enjoyed my time spent with Jon as he helped me with my Volvo wagon over the years. I would usually spend a couple hours during drop off and pickup as my boy would explore his shop of treasures while we shared stories and grew our friendship. I always looked forward to seeing Jon. Truly an individual and such an interesting, smart and special man. Rest In Peace Jon. You...
