Dear Jane, So sorry to just learn of Jon's death.

Dear Families, Your dad was such an amazing man who lived a full life of giving in so many ways. From his words of wisdom you have shared to the many generous organizations he worked for and gave to... such a legacy to be proud of and so admired. Most importantly, here is to a father who loved his family so much and was always seeking the best for them by his teachings, love and memories. May God bless you all. With love, Patrick, Patty, Annie, Jane & Grace The McKee Family

Jane, Laura and entire family, I am so saddened to learn of Jon´s passing. My memories of Jon align with the wonderful quote in this obituary...he was extremely kind. I will keep him and you all in my prayers. Bill Prue The Villages, FL

Oh my, how can we ever express how wonderful Jon and Jane have been as neighbors and friends? Jerry and Jon were best buddies through mutual friends, golf, chats after golf at the Eagles, over dinner, sharing time when in Tucson each year! We have been so enriched by our friendship, the local area by their generosity, as well as their family and friends around the world. We will miss his kindness, common sense, and calls to plan golf or dinner! Love to you, Jane, May peace, comfort, love...

Dearest Jane, Thank you for sharing your most wonderful Jon with us these past 23 years. Jon was such a man of Faith, kind gentleman, loyal friend, helpful neighbor, generous spirit, a calm voice in life´s storms, and the perfect partner with you Jane. We will miss our dinners at Lefty and Romo´s, "playing" in the oak leaves, afternoon "sips" of Chardonnay, laughing together, and our "likeminded" conversations. Our sincere sympathy and prayers to the entire family. We love...

I had the pleasure of working with Jon for many years at the C.S. Mott Foundation when he worked in programs and I was in communications. Just a great, humble, caring guy. Then we got to see Jon and Jane many times over the past decade as fellow season ticket holders at the West Michigan Symphony in Muskegon. So nice to meet other members of their family today in Whitehall at the visitation.

Deepest condolences to the Blyth family. Jon was a legendary colleague at the C.S. Mott Foundation. While I didn't get the chance to work closely with him because he was leading our Prague office while I was in the Flint office. His presence and influence were large across all of Mott's offices and among all of our staff. I still come across nuggets of wisdom that Jon left for future staff in memos and reflections in our archives. He will be long remembered for his impact at the Foundation.

Jon was an unusual human being. I met him when he became involved with a hospital in Haiti--Grace Children's Hospital. Although this project was not a part of the Mott Foundation, his involvement was an indication that he sought out important projects to which he gave significant time and energy.

Jon's wisdom and strategic planning helped make Grace Children's hospital an important healing place. Though Jon has died, Grace Children's Hospital lives and will continue to bring...
