Jon D. Boyes, 80, passed away quietly on August 21 following a long battle with Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia, compounded by the effects of COVID-19. Jon was born in 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to Roy and Lucille. He attended Clintonville Elementary School where he first met beloved wife, Faye, when they were four years old. They reconnected ten years later in junior high and dated throughout high school. Jon and Faye were wed in 1961 and both graduated from The Ohio State University in 1963. Jon was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. Jon began his 40-year career as an architect with Dan Carmichael and Associates in Columbus. After one too many blizzards, the family relocated to California in 1978 where they lived until 2015. His career in the Bay Area included WBE, Amos Krausz and Company, and Tandem Computers before retiring from Citigroup in 2003. When not at the office, Jon could be found golfing or working on many projects at home. He was a perfectionist and we all benefited from his high standards and the quality of work he produced. Jon's passion for golf began as soon as he could hold a golf club. His father taught him the game and the many life lessons it offered. He carried that passion for golf throughout his life and enjoyed his annual outings to Poppy Hills, Graeagle, and Northstar-at-Tahoe with his buddies, and our annual family vacation at Wawona in Yosemite. For the last four years, Jon was under the loving care provided by Poet's Walk Memory Care and his angels on earth from Generous Hospice. We are grateful to them for their attentive care and compassion. He is survived by his wife of 59 years and best friend, Faye, son Randy, daughter Elizabeth and her husband Scott, and grand-children Dorian, Samuel, Sienna and Emma.

My DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO MRS BOYES AND FAMILY WE AT POET'S WALK IS GOING TO MISS MR BOYES R.I.P

Jon and I were first cousins and had fun times at his home in Columbus or at mine in Northern Ohio when growing up. We both graduated from The Ohio State University the same year. He always called me "Cuz" when our paths crossed on campus. As mature adults, our get-togethers were infrequent, but I shall miss him just the same.
