Not sure what to say?

I was so stunned when I heard the news 12 years after the fact that I didn't mention our mutual love of music! Mike and I would spend hours at a time, turning each other on to music we loved. I cherish the mix he put together for me after my dad died. I was stunned by this news, but at least I have an answer now. Rock on buddy!

I have been trying to get in touch with Mike for probably 20 years. We worked together in Chico and Paradise and became very close friends. I am just now learning of his passing. He was indeed relentless, and the definition of a true friend. When we last spoke I got the feeling he had lost his way. I miss him tremendously. May he rest in peace.

I worked with Michael in Lake Tahoe in the 1970's and early 80's. We hit it off right away. Maybe because we both shared being the the Marine Corps. Yes Mike was intense in everything. I was shocked when I finally found out he was no longer with us. I think about him every day.

Michael had so many friends in San Diego…I was just one of them. But I was the lucky one to bring Michael to town from Sacramento when he joined the XTRA 690 family on Pacific Highway. Michael did a fabulous interview in his application for XTRA SPORTS, just like the work he did once he joined us. All of us who knew Michael can relate when I use the one word that comes to mind when I think of him…relentless. That is how I saw him, and how he saw himself, even having that word on his...

Michael worked for my dad in Sacramento for 10 years prior to coming to work for XTRA Sports 690, where I had the honor to get to know this fine man and call him my friend. Reading the posts from the people we worked with reminded me of some of the great times we all shared with Michael. He truly was the Master of Merch, and I counted on him feeding me weekly! All the hours spent talking about our ups and downs, eating Turkey burgers at Peabody's, going for runs on the beach and just being 2...

I worked with Michael at 91X and XTRA Sports. We became very good friends. I have a giant framed poster of a guitar and chord charts that is hung in our bedroom. Michael gave it to me as a going away present when I left the market a few years ago. I occassionally play in bands around San Diego and Michael could always be counted on to show up and support us. He was one of the more passionate, sincere people I've ever known. Saw him last for a couple of beers at Guadalajara Grill a...

I had the pleasure to meet Michael about 15 years ago. We hit it off right away. We got to work together twice. He was always cheerful and upbeat even when our radio business sucked. He would often remind me of my many "crazy" moments over the years. Michael will be truely missed. He was a great guy and a greater friend.

I sold with Micahel at XTRA Sports 690, shared an office with him and shared many a story over many diet cokes. When Michael would startto tell me a story that he had all ready told me on a previous occasion, I would hold up one finger without saying a word, he knew that meant I had heard it once before. When I would hold up two or three fingers, he would stop the story quickly and we would both burst into laughter.
He was good man, a good friend, and left us to early.
May He Rest...

I got to know Michael when i returned to san diego in 1997.
We had pacific highway and 91X in common. He was a great radio guy, and a tremendous human being who you couldn't help but like
a lot! He left us way too early and will be missed by all his friends in the media community.
