Not sure what to say?

Jon was the best street cop I ever worked with. He taught us 'rookies' what we needed to be safe and get good at our job. He had instincts second to none. We did a lot together as a group on Delta squad and had great times. I have vivid memories of Jon. My deepest sympathy to all the Busch family.

Dear family of Jon,

I met Jon when I started working in the 9-1-1 center at ACPD in 1974 -- and he soon taught me a lot -- starting with his sense of humor, which was marvelous ! It didn't take long to realize just how good he was at his chosen profession, and how others on the road and in the center also saw that and appreciated him. He will be remembered fondly by many.

Go gently into the sweet night, Jon, and make them laugh !

My thoughts and...

I met Jon in the '80s when I hired off duty officers from the Arl. PD to work as security for Safeway(s). Jon's hand picked crew did much for us at a number of our stores. We became fast friends, hunted and fished together. I/we'll miss him. Roger Beep, Jon.

Jon was one of the finest police officers that I had the pleasure to work with in Arlington and later with the DEA as a member of the Task Force in Washington. His professionalism and humor will not be forgotten by all who knew him. God Bless you, old friend.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Jon on Delta section. He was an amazing street cop. I was always impressed with his knowledge on a variety of topics outside police work that were of interest to me. He will be missed by all of the good people that knew him.

Jon was the best street cop we ever worked with. Besides his humor, we remembered how Jon would light up when talking about Suzanne and the children. Jon & March will be duck hunting about now.

Jon was always one of the "good" guys. His sense of humor and fair play made working with him a pleasure. Thoughts of him will always be pleasant memories.

There are no more messages on our answering machine, no more E-mails, and no more horse racing post time calls. You gave us so much laughter. We thank you, Jon, our dear friend. You are truly missed.

Jon was a very good friend to my stepfather, and I knew him to be a wonderfully clever, humorous man who always tried hard to put a smile on the faces of those he cared about. He will be missed, very much missed.
