Not sure what to say?

On behalf of many many SICU RN's at Blodgett, I extend sympathies for your family. Jon was a wonderful doctor and person! I was able to participate in one of the Honduras Medical trips along with Dr. Ray Fuller. They are probably reminiscing in heaven right now! He was great to work along side and will be missed. The Blodgett ICU staff (mostly old) get together annually (will be on Sept 4 this year) & I'm sure we will be sharing experiences with each other about him. Kathy Schmidt...

Dr. Cowan was my anesthesiologist for several surgeries I had at Blodgett. I would call and request him and he would be present every time. He would also come and check on me in the days after surgery. I had the utmost trust in him when it came to giving me anesthesia. He was such a kind man whose faith resounded in what he did. It was my blessing and honor to have known him. Many thoughts and prayers to his family. Jane Boomstra

Wanda and family, I'm thankful that Bob LaFleur notified me of Jon's transition to glory. Memories of time in your home came instantly. You were such generous hosts when Augustin had spinal surgery and stayed in your home. I teared up viewing the YouTube video tribute, giving thanks to God for Jon's life and legacy. We will not be attending the funeral service, yet you will remain in our thoughts and prayers. Love is flowing from Kentucky to Michigan, Steve & Chris Sartori

Dear Wanda, my sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your dear husband. We were neighbors so many years ago when we lived on Nelson ST. Praying that you will be comforted by wonderful memories and God's peace.

Dear Wanda Valerie and Becky and families We were so sorry to hear of Jon's passing and we grieve with you. We enjoyed so many wonderful times together during the Medical Brigades in Honduras. Jon willingly gave of his time and talents to serve those who otherwise might not have had the opportunity to have surgery. He was the best anesthesiologist and our friend. He was generous and kind. May the God of all comfort, wrap his loving arms around each of you. We will miss Jon yet we know that...

Eternal Friendship Remembrance Bouquet - VASE INCLUDED

I feel honored to have worked with Dr Cowan for nearly 18 years. He even did my anesthesia for a cat bite, which was done on the night shift. He was caring, kind and lots of laughter. He gave so much through his service to the people of the Honduras. I´m sure you´ll hear that he was one of the best of the best! I´m sorry I won´t be able to attend his Celebration of Life on Friday. Besides that I am in a wheelchair, I´ll be getting treatment, at that time, at LemmenHolten. I love this photo...

So saddened to read this! Prayers for all of you!

Wonderful memories of Dr. Cowan while serving on brigades in Honduras. A man we truly respected. Humble and willing to serve in any capacity - even painting at the clinic. A true servant of the Lord. Sincere condolences to the family.
