DR. JON HARDACRE

I'm so sorry to hear of Dr. Jon's passing. I haven't seen him in over 30 years. As a young lady active in sports I completely blew out my knee and he did a complete knee reconstruction at Marymount. I was so scared ... but he had a warming smile and a light wit ... he was so reassuring. I remember him rubbing my knee as he told me how he'd put me back together again and it would all be ok ... indeed it was all ok - and that knee holding up to this day - 35 years later! I think of him...

I am saddened to learn of Dr. H passing. Over years my family received his care and always held him with the highest regard. As a child I suffered a signicant hand injury. His kindness, caring and humor eased my fears. He was bigger than life to me at the time and I've often thought of him since. With a hand on my head and a giant smile, I remember him telling me that if I didn't cheer up he would maybe put my thumb on backwards to really give me something to be sad about.
