Not sure what to say?

Jon was a good friend and sailor. We are honored to have known him. We met and befriended him at his first command and were impacted by his kind and gentle spirit. May God continue to comfort your family in keeping his memory alive in your hearts always.

Jon, there is never a day I dont think about you. You are one special newbie brother and true friend. Miss you a lot and know you are making God laugh with your sense of humor. Thank you!

To the younger brother I never had. You are a kind, funny, lighted hearted, and loving soul. I, we, everyone, misses you sooo much! I look to the beautiful sunset and always think of you. I talk to you but you know that, worm lips. I love you Jon. I look forward to seeing you in Heaven.

Hi Jon,
I remember you from where we both served in Jacksonville,FL. You are a generous good soul. I remember helping you pick out your first new car in Florida. It was a Saturn, afterwards we out to a steak dinner to celebrate. We had so many other great conversations. You enlightened me and brightened so many lives. You are missed, my friend. Rest With Peace.

-HM2 (SW) Lesley Gaines, US Navy Veteran

Jon,

You were my neighbor and my friend. I was sad to find this out today. We were never able to reconnect after Jacksonville, and I will forever be sorry of that. I will miss you and think of you the rest of my life.

Andrea

HM1,
I miss you brother! You were a great mentor and friend! Thank you for everything. I will always reflect on those good times on the TR and in the sand box! Like freaking out Dr. Sauder with the candy! You will truely be missed, but never forgotten! Corpsman Up!

My heart is saddened knowing that a sweet spirit such as Jon is no longer with us. I was stationed with Jon in Jacksonville, Fla. with the VS-24 Scouts. I spent a lot of time with Jon on our 2006 cruise aboard the USS TR. He made you smile because he truly knew God was with him. Doc, you will be missed!!

Jon, you will remain in my memory and in my heart always. One of the best shipmates I ever had and one of the truest friends I have ever known. Thank you for being my friend.

It was a pleasure to serve and know you dear fellowman of 920. Thank you for your commitment to your country and delivering pride and honor to your family. You will be missed.
