Jon Haydostian Obituary

Haydostian, Jon
Haydostian, Jon, age 50 of Trumbull, CT, beloved father of Ashley and Anna entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 28, 2012 surrounded by friends and family after a brief illness. Jon, who was affectionately known as "Haydo" was born on November 2, 1962 and raised in Fairfield, CT. He graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in 1980 and went on to earn his B.S. in Business Management in 1984 and his MBA in Finance, both from Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT. While at Sacred Heart, Jon with his friends founded the fraternity, Gamma Chi Zeta. He has remained close friends with his fraternity brothers, even after thirty years.
During his thirty year career, Jon held many positions in the financial services industry at companies such as Diamond Lease, GE Capital, and Transamerica Leasing. He was a Vice President at Citicorp prior to partnering with a friend to open Allstate Insurance in Monroe, CT in 2010. His high intelligence and excellent people and communication skills brought him much success in the business world.
Jon enjoyed pitching in softball and was an accomplished guitarist whose love of music brought immense joy to himself and the many who heard him. For years, he played in a band called the Eaton Street Band and at every chance would get together with any friend or family member who wanted to jam. He especially loved playing with Rich, Uncle Mike, and Uncle Don during the holidays. Jon loved the Boston Red Sox, the Dallas Cowboys, Springsteen, and the Allman Brothers.

Jon will be remembered most by the loving way he treated his family and friends. He was everyone's true friend and would drop whatever he was doing to offer sound advice to anyone regarding their finance or relationship issues. Many will remember the long conversations they had with him. His hearty laugh, generous heart, and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
Jon is survived by his two daughters, Ashley and Anna of Trumbull, CT, his mother Mary Haydostian, his sister Janet Haydostian, his aunt, Naomi Manoogian, his uncles, Paul and Bob Haydostian all of Clearwater, Florida and several cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Steven Haydostian, of Fairfield, CT.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe with a 7 p.m. service to follow. All are welcome. Jon,
My heart is aching now. You were a true friend for over 25 years. I enjoyed our friendship and the time we spent together as co-workers, softball team mates, class mates, and having you to talk and laugh with. I was so looking forward to getting together with you after the holidays. That drink will have to wait my friend but I raise my glass to you. Here's to a gentleman, loving and devoted dad and family man, and a true friend.

Love always - Joan
