Jon Hersh Mareska, 72, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away September 4, 2017, at Country Side Health Center. Jon was born on August 15, 1945 to John Lamm and Lucille Hersh.


He served in the United States Navy for many years where he was honorably discharged. He then worked doing various odd’s and end jobs for the rest of his life. He graduated from Topeka High School. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and traveling to different motorcycle rally’s, such as Sturges and Dayton Beach and fishing at John Redmond Lake in Burlington and the Neosho River.


Jon is preceded in death by both of his parents.


He is survived by two sons, Jon Mareska of Lansing, Kansas and Jon of Colorado; four daughters; one brother, Charles Mareska of Wisconsin; one sister, Tamra Blake of Topeka; and many grandchildren.


 


Visitation will be Wednesday, September 6 from 10:00- 11:00 a.m. at Davidson Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Graceland Cemetery in Burlington. Memorial contributions may be made to Countryside Health Center or Great Lakes Caring Hospice and sent in the care of Davidson Funeral Home. Davidsonfuneral.com

I cared for Jon several yrs ago at Country side. He was a funny and well liked guy. So sorry for your lost. He will be missed.
