Not sure what to say?

My unassuming friend.....You always had a kind word form me and supported my thoughts and actions...

Jon was a constant in my life for over 40 years.. he gave friendship and support to a young college kid when there was no reason.. we shared family and friends from a street's walk apart...we were as much family as friends can be.. if there was ever a man who squeezed everything out of life, it was Ivan.. if there was ever a man who made everyone's life more full, more meaningful, more fun, it was Ivan.. RIP my friend, my brother, my hero..

Love you, Brother. Forever. Every day. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Made ours so much better. Love to Cathleen and the gang. Thanks for sharing one of the greatest men ever with us. --Peter, Beth, and Dan

No worse enemy - no better friend. No one who met Ivan forgot him. He was a beacon in the dark that lit the path forward for many. My heartfelt condolences to Kathy, his family & all who knew & loved him. Vichnaya Pamyat.

A man could not have a better friend than my dear comrade Ivan. All of us have lost a most valuable part of our lives with his untimely passing. As our hymn goes... "Open up those pearly gates cause I've spent my time in..." With our greatest love, rest in peace, our very dear brother.

I send virtual hugs that represent deep love to all of Jon´s family and friends. My brother asked Jon to watch over me, his little sister, when I first started Cleveland State in 1974. I entered college having a safe haven and the friendship and help of wacky, wonderful friends like Jon. What a force of nature! Jon lives his life fully and made it better for all he touched. RIP, my friend. You deserve it.

My deepest condolences to Jon's family & all his beautiful children & Kathleen. Jon was another WCSB alumni, and we shared those times together at the college radio station, and later at the same parish. He was always willing to help, and is the true definition of 'a good man.' Oh, that smile...that 'stache.
