I knew John as a pro at Tuallitan country club. I thought he was a hilarious guy with a great sense of humor. He was also a very generous person in a quiet way. My husband Ron Matin Was very impressed with his generosity and of course he liked him as a person. I’m very sorry for your loss your husband and your father and your grandfather was a really lovely person..

One memory of Jon still sticks out in my mind from a visit to NC from him and Shelby daddy had grilled spare ribs and I don’t believe I have ever seen a man eat so many in my life. It tickled my Daddy to see him enjoy those ribs. RIP Jon
