Not sure what to say?

One of the top reporters at the Wichita Beacon, when I was there, 1964-66. Good guy. Went out on a mass funeral of teenagers who died on graduation night in a car crash. Heart breaker.

What better way to remember Jon than as a friend and mentor. Miss and think about him every day.

Myrne,
I am so sad to hear of Jon's passing. I got to know him during his tenure on the Friends of the Wichita Public Library Board of Directors. He was Secretary, as you know, and his minutes were always the highlight of the meetings.
I will miss his good nature and his shining light in this world.
You have my sincerest sympathies,

My condolences, Myrne.

The gods and muses were sure much much more generous to Jon than to most!
So, so sorry, Myrne and Matt. So sorry!

So, so sorry, Myrne and Matt. So sorry!

Deepest sympathy for Myrne and all of Jon's family.

Matt,
Although I never had you as a student, I remember you from Emerson. I also remember the nighttime janitor who would come into my room and have all kinds of young man conversations with me.
You were humorous and entertaining. You are one of a kind! Emerson loved you dearly.
May the Holy Spirit comfort you as you grieve the passing of your father.
PS I knew your mother as Mrs. Roe at South High School. She pushed us hard in composition so we would be ready for...
