Not sure what to say?

I am so very sad to learn of Jon's passing. While I did not know Jon as a professor, I got to know him very well through his coming to our annual CE programs at the Auburn Harrison College of Pharmacy. We spoke at length each year at the programs and communicated throughout the year over email. He has such a warm and caring man and I'm so glad I got to know him. I always enjoyed hearing his stories about his time as a faculty member. Rest in peace my friend.

I had the pleasure of helping Dr. Tanja with any Continuing Education programs he was taking here at Auburn University and always enjoyed his vibrant and interesting conversations. We always giggled at our First and Last names being the same. Rest in Peace Dr. Tanja from Dr. Tanja (Redd)

Grief can be so hard, may your special memories help you through this tough time and always. I was fortunate to work with Jon as new faculty member at Auburn and we shared a love for diabetes therapy among other things. He was always kind. Remembering you and Jon today and always.

Single Memorial Tree

Jon was a neighbor, friend and kind sensitive man who listened carefully and was able to give the unique gift of understanding, as human beings do who care about their fellow humans. I will miss him much and do know that he "graduated" from this world and is now enjoying being in the Presence of His Lord and Savior.

I have been praying for you and your family during this time of grief. I love you. Bunny Sayler

I met Jon Tanja during a Lions Mexico mission. I always enjoyed his fun love of life. He was such an interesting wealth of knowledge ; we talked about every thing. He loved his family and had a servants heart. You always loved the sunsets; now you got a front seat in heaven . Heaven got a precious angel.goodbye.

I remember meeting Jon the first time on our vision mission in Morelia, Mexico in 2005. He was easy-going, charming, and knowledgeable. Through the years we talked about travelling. I really enjoyed learning about places to go and things to do from him. I've missed seeing him the last few years. I will always remember him as a gentleman!

My deepest sympathy and prayers to all the family. Jon was a friend and pharmacy advisor to me both at NLU (now ULM) and Auburn Univ.
