Not sure what to say?

Dear Mary and the Wilska Family, We are so very sorry to hear of Jon's passing . We remember when you left Niantic Community Church to begin your Inn business. So glad to hear it was successful. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. John and Kay Whritner

We played golf often with Jon at Heritage Hunt. Even though he had slowed down during the last few year, it was always a pleasure to see him on the course.

Joe and I always enjoyed chatting with Jon after Sunday worship at the North Stonington Congregational Church coffee hour. Joe was able to spend even more time with him on the churches Trustees Committee. We missed him and Mary when they moved, but were so happy for them to be closer to family. Joe and I were also lucky enough to be one the many guests that stayed at their Inn! Keeping you and our thoughts and prayers Mary

Dear Wilska Family, Sorry for your loss. Jon was a meaningful mentor, a professional who did things his way--the right way. I was blessed to serve with him as an educator in Old Saybrook, during his last years and my early years. He was a major inspiration for my further involvement in the Connecticut Education Association, through to this day. In the classroom, he challenged his students to question their purpose and smiled at their subsequent perseverance and growth. He challenged his...

Mary and Family, Carol and I are sorry to hear of your loss. Jon was a great person and teacher.

Dear Mary and Family, I am so very sorry to about Jon´s passing!! He was a wonderful and caring person, who was always there to help anyone. I so much enjoyed seeing him and Mary at our Church and everything they did to help at Church. I did get a chance to stay at their Bed and Breakfast, at the Lower Farm . Everything was beautiful and relaxing there. Please know that you and your Family are in our thoughts and prayers. Mary Bliven

I remember Jon very well from my years as a teacher in old Saybrook from the 1960s until the 1990s. he was a colleague and a friend I offer my condolences to his wife Mary and his children. I am now living in Naples, Florida and I am in my 90s the years pass and we lose friends we held in high esteem. Rest in peace, Jon

We met Jon and Mary at the Inn at Lower Farm many years ago. We became close friends spending weekends together . Jon always had a story to share with a twinkle in his eye and a charming smile. He will be missed.

Was it John? or Jon? Was it Wilski ? or just Wilska? or one of any other nicknames that we gave him. I was Jon's roommate at Bates College for three years. Those three years were fill with adventure after adventure being more than enough to fill anyone's lifetime. These adventures led to a life long friendship that I cherished virtually every day. While we traveled in different direction, we made an effort to stay in touch and see each other with some frequency. Jon introduced me to the...
