To Cathy and John's family: Hey, remember that he used to play baseball, too. Second baseman on my Little League team, back in the dark ages. John and I grew up pretty much together until he was sent to Col. White and I went to Fairview. We reunited during his days with Jonathan and Leigh. It was a thrill to hear them playing at the Lemon Tree! My sincerest sympathies to you all. I know he'll be missed.

John was a what Gram Parsons would have called "God's Own Singer". I'm honored to have had him as a friend, singing partner, and inspiration. One of my all-time Alden tales has to be the strawberry pie. He and Kathy were at our house, someone mentioned the classic seltzer bottle/pie in the face revenge tactics.
