Not sure what to say?

I knew Jon as a classmate at IIT in the late Fifties. He was the first person to offer me a job after being discharged from the Army. He was always so positive and ready to take the lead. I think the word Gentleman sums it up.

I worked for Jon in the early '70s. He was delightful to work for and even made typing specs less arduous. His kindness and humor were a pleasure to be around. My heart goes out to all of you. Anne Salsbury, San Francisco

remembering what I know of Jon...
the deep and generous love held and woven over the years between him and Lisa. his open heart and absolute honor, care and respect for our furry companions... I will miss his gentle presence, his welcoming smile.

Dear Bulkley family, my condolences to all of you. I've known Jonathan since the 1960s (having worked for several major SF architectural firms) and admired his work greatly. What a legend.

Deeply saddened to learn of Mr. Bulkley's passing. He was very supportive of my effort to save San Francisco's 1906 Earthquake Refugee Shacks in the 1980s. I will not forget his expertise and kindness. Sincere condolences to his family.

A nice man. I knew him in the 70s & 80s in SF politics and issues.

Jon was a remarkable, interesting, accomplished man. Part of that club of fascinating Bulkleys who were good people, who made a great difference in their worlds, (but didn't suffer fools lightly!). I was always a little in awe of him but he showed me only kindness and love. I will miss you, Uncle Jon.

Jon was a wonderful friend and mentor to me. He added so much kindness, inspiration and laughter to my life. I will always remember him and I always be grateful that I had a chance to know him. My prayers are with you, Lisa, and your whole family.

Toutes nos condoléances et pensées à toi ma Chère Adrienne ainsi que toute ta Famille.
