Jonathan James Carlino

Jonathan James Carlino, 29, of Algonquin, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017.

He was born in Barrington, IL to Dan and Cindy (nee Yost) Carlino.

Jonathan had an Associate degree in Science from McHenry County College, as well as a Bachelor of Science from Northern Illinois University. Jonathan held the following certifications: American Council on Exercise- Certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. Jonathan was employed by Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Health and Fitness Center in Barrington as a Personal Trainer Lead. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, fitness & wellness programs, auto detailing, country music and home improvements. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cary.

Jonathan is survived by his parents, Dan and Cindy Carlino of Oakwood Hills; his brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Tami Carlino of Algonquin; his sister, Anna Carlino of Oakwood Hills; his grandparents, James and Rae Anne Yost of Grayslake and Martin Carlino of Des Plaines; his aunts and uncles, Michael and Karen Carlino of Joliet, John and Sally Carlino of Frankfort, Denise Carlino McGarel of Yorkville, Jack McGarel, Vicki and Todd Daniels of Texas, Tim and Kim Yost of Tennessee, Wendy and Dan Gwaltney of Lake Villa, Patrick and Katy Yost of Wauconda, and Michael and Laura Yost of Island Lake; and his cousins, Jared Yost, Jacob and Kirby Yost, Emily and Amber Clark, Zach and Melissa Yost, Peter and Theresa Daniels, Laura Daniels, Maggie and Justin Granger, Bryn and Brooke Gwaltney, Joshua Gwaltney, Ian Gwaltney, James Yost, Margaret Yost, Jack Yost, Ethan Yost, Chris McGarel, Jordan and Diane McGarel, Nicole McGarel, Caitlin Carlino, Grace Carlino, Claire and Tim Dawson, and Casey Carlino.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marie Carlino.

A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00am until 2:00pm with a memorial service beginning at 1:00pm, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family of Jon Carlino https://www.gofundme.com/jon-carlino-memorial-fund. The family will make donations to Illinois Animal Rescue, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, and Lyme Awareness.
