Not sure what to say?

Family of Jonathan,
While a student at UNH back in the 70's I had the pleasure of working for Jonathan preparing his clay. The family became friends and I never forgot them. My condolences to all of you. I still have one of his pots and will always treasure it.

Dot,
My heart is with you during this difficult time. I am sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of meeting Otter a couple of times and spoke with him many times on the phone and on the Fly Fishing in New Hampshire forum. Of all the fishermen I have ever known none have inspired me more than Jonathan, in showing me the power and beauty of our sport. His wisdom will live on in the minds and hearts of all who knew him. I'm sure he's fishing as I write this.

Sincerely,

Nate

To whom this may concern: I had the great pleasure of fishing with "Otter" two years ago in Portsmouth. As a new "young guy" to fly fishing, Jonathan jumped at the opportunity to bring me striper fishing. I appreciated that day, and even more so now. We (flyfishinginnh.com) will miss him greatly.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I met Jonathan in the 80s and he was one of the best threads woven into my life. Goodbye, Jonathan, your presence on earth made it a more beautiful place. I still have the elegant pottery bowl you gave me years ago and I hope you knew what a good life you composed before it ended. Dottie, I'm glad you and Jonathan had each other in his last decades. Remembering how fondly and proudly he spoke of his children back when I was closer to him, I extend my condolences to all current family members...

Now close the windows and let the marshes resume, if the trees must, let them toss. No bird is singing now, and if there is, let them silently fly away. No bird is singing now, caught in a northeast wind, serenely looking for a summer breeze, flying with the angels in the sky, into the summer night. I can hear the ocean, it soothes my soul. Open the windows and let the breeze rush in. Looking over my shoulder I find home, the birds are singing now in heaven with God. Sharon and Mickey...
