My son Paul Hurlbert told me that Jonathan had passed several years ago. I was shocked and sadden to hear of his passing. Paul spent a lot of time with Jonathan since they went to the same school. I became good friends with Mark and Mary. You're in my thoughts and prayers .

I am heartbroken for your loss. Jonathan was so full of life, he touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His memory will make a difference in the lives of his friends and students. His spirit will live on.

I was saddened to hear about Jonathan's passing, but I do know that he left a legacy with his music. As his former choir director, I recognized his exceptional piano proficiency skills when he attended Milwood Middle School. During his lifetime he has blessed so many by sharing/teaching his God-Given musical talent. The world is a better place because he lived. God Bless the Family.

My mother, Jill Christian, would have LOVED the quote Jonathan gave about practice being like sowing seeds. Thank you for sharing his passion and love of music. As my father passed away last January, we have been processing the death of that wonderful musician. Music touches us beyond death. Whenever we hear his recordings, he is with us.
