Jon was a student of mine for a while, and we had a lot of conversations. He was such a gentle, sweet man -- dedicated to his family and his job. I just heard this news and am greatly saddened by it.

I worked with Jon at Marhofer many years ago! He was one of the kindest and most genuine people that I've ever met! An old soul in a young body! I am deeply sorry for your loss!

I am very grateful for having known Jon. I have looked up to him ever since grade school and will always admire his enthusiasm, faith, friendliness, humor, and wit. Marie, his girls, Gerry, Ruth, and Raleigh, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Jon was an extraordinary husband, father, son, and brother. He will always live large in my mind and heart.
