Not sure what to say?

I am shocked to hear that he died so young.. He was so vibrant, curious and young in his head. I am having fond memories of our time together when I visited NYU in 2007. I am very sad. Dalia Marin

Single Memorial Tree

I have know Jonathan since 1982, when he taught a section of my graduate international economics class at Yale. He was always kind and generous with his time, and I cannot say that I would have been professionally where I am without his help. My deepest condolences.

Single Memorial Tree

My fondest memories of Jonathan date back to when he visited the ANU over 40 years ago. Not only did we have a productive collaboration, but it was fun with lots of laughs and good humor. It was when he met his wife, Carolyn, another special person, to whom Michelle and I send our love and condolences.

I was a student of Jon's twice, as an undergrad at Princeton and as a grad at Yale. Jon and I saw each other many times afterward, at conferences and seminars. He was unfailingly kind and generous. I can guess that he was a devoted husband and father. I give my most heartfelt condolences to Jon's wife and daughters. Jon was a towering figure in international trade and will be deeply missed.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
