Our dear son and brother, Jonathan Bridger Hardy passed away on October 15, 2022 at the age of 24. He is survived by his mother Diane Gurr and father Rulon Hardy, his sisters Aubrey Lewis, Angie Hardy, Sherise Hardy, Rachel Hardy, brother Mack Hardy, and his beloved cat-son, Yuki. Bridger was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on June 23, 1998, and was the youngest of 6 children. He graduated from Riverton High School in 2016, had many friends, and excelled academically.
He worked his first job at Taco Bell to support his love of skateboarding. He also worked at Hillside Tire and Auto, Burt Bros, RC Willey for a short time and did summer sales in Texas, Illinois, and Michigan. He worked the last several years delivering for Amazon and was currently a Fed Ex driver. Bridger did his absolute best at everything he put his mind to, was a bright light to all he encountered, whether through work, or any other activity. He was often known to find those who needed a kind word or a smile, and to help those who needed a boost.
Bridger was bursting with talent and fierce determination to excel in everything he did. Bridger loved to play ukulele, guitar, piano and sing for his family and friends. Music was a very deep part of his soul, and he loved sharing favorite songs of all genres with family and friends. Bridger pushed limits, whether he was doing backflips, kickflips, and daring jumps, or taking challenges to eat fiery hot, off-the-Scoville-chart hot sauces, taking ice baths, being a prankster, or appreciating nature--he was unconventional, inexhaustible, and absolutely one of a kind! He loved to share his interests and talents with friends and family, never failing to impress and entertain and bring a smile to all he interacted with. Bridger had a genuine, selfless, and childlike spirit that made him a fabulous and very much-loved uncle.
His seven nieces and three nephews were always so excited to play and laugh with their uncle Bridger who they looked up to and admired dearly. Perhaps more than any other passion, Bridger was a fearless skater with abilities that drew attention from local skaters and professional sponsors. Bridger was a self-proclaimed cat dad who deeply cared and loved for his cat Yuki.
The viewing will be held from 9:00am to 10:45am on Friday October 21, 2022 at the Bluffdale 11th Ward Building, located at 14242 S. Loumis Parkway, Bluffdale, Utah. The funeral service will follow at 11am.
The burial will be held at the Parowan City cemetery, Utah on Saturday October 22, 2022 beginning at 1:30pm. A family luncheon will follow in the gymnasium.
We invite all who knew and loved Bridger to join our family in celebrating his life and light.
