Jonathan Dwayne Henderson, age 47 left this world to be the Lord and his mother and brother who were waiting on the other side for him on Saturday December 4, 2021 at the Smyth County Community Hospital.
Jonathan was born in Smyth County, VA and was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Poe and his brother Mark Henderson. Jonathan loved to sing, dance, laugh and entertain others. He never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone at anytime.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Tina Henderson; daughter Amber McCarty and fiancee Chris Goodman; daughter, Brooke Henderson and fiancee Joni Tate; grandchildren, Willow Brook Goodman, who was the love of his life; sister, Angela Cassell and husband Scott; brother Ricky Henderson and wife Theresa; special cousin, Tim Henderson who was like a brother;
special grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kaleb, Quinton, Easton, Jayden, and Elly; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to numerous to count.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Thursday December 9, 2021 at the Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion. Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7PM. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley’s Funeral Home is serving the Henderson family.

Ricky, Theresa, Josh, Michelle, Tina, Brooke, Amber, and all the family I’m at a loss of words cause I’m sorry just doesn’t cover the depth of sadness and pain I know y’all are experiencing. Jonathan was a great friend with a gigantic smile. Every time he dj’d the class reunion gatherings he was SO much fun and made our nights unforgettable with the 80’s/90’s music, his laughter, his joining in with us, just him being him.
