Jon, Dave, Dee Ann and Debbie playing backgammon - 1982 Purdue Debris Yearbook

My sincere condolences to Jon's family. I just learned of his passing through a Purdue Pi Kappa Phi newsletter and was stunned. In the early 1980's Jon was my roommate and we had some great times attending the various concerts he was instrumental in promoting at Purdue. He will be missed.

I got to know Jon coaching his son Henry in 78th Pct. basketball two years ago. Jon was a great guy and he will be missed. Sending all my best wishes to Henry and the rest of his family and his friends.

-Coach Brett

I am incredibly saddened to hear the news of Jon's passing, and I can only wish the very best for his family during this difficult time. I was very lucky to know him personally as Henry's basketball coach two years ago, and I always had a smile on my face after running into Jon in future seasons. He will be sorely missed, and I am so sorry for his family's loss.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I will forever remember your brilliant wit and gentle soul. Miss my friend.

Joyce, I am so sorry to hear of Jon's passing. My sincere condolences to you, your sons, and all your families. I will keep you in my thoughts, and hope that fond memories comfort all of you at this difficult time.

A son to be proud of. Thinking of you. So sorry for your loss.
