Not sure what to say?

While attending a charity event titled "Boots on the Ground" on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL I came upon a table called "Adopt a Hero". They asked if I would like to pick one of the fallen soldiers out to honor their memory and keep it alive by posting pictures at facebook.com/adoptahero. I randomly chose Jonathon. Reading more about him here at legacy.com confirms what is so true about all of these young heroes. His memory will be kept alive proudly as my band tours and...

Jonathan, thinking of you especially at this time of year. Your service and the ultimate sacrifice you made will never be forgotten. You are truly a hero! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers always. God bless you!

Not sure what to say Jonathan, as I have been coming to this book every year now for the past 6 years. We all continue to miss you and wish you were here. I am so proud of the man you became and I watch it every day when I look at my own son and watch him live your dream. Please watch over him and keep him safe.
Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice.
Love Aunt Janice

My Son,

I can't believe this is the 6th yr anniversary of your passing. Time continues to stand still, and I am still grieving and probably will for the rest of my days. I look at your pictures EVERY day, and think about the times we had together. The 4th of July holidays are supposed to be a joyous time, celebrating this country's freedom, but for me it has a whole new meaning. I MISS YOU SO MUCH AND NOT A DAY GOES BY WHERE I DON'T THINK OF AND TALK ABOUT YOU. You are forever in...

Johnathan,
When you were assigned to 1st platoon with a bunch of tankers you probably would have preferred to stay with your infantry unit, but you never indicated anything less than full commitment, giving 110% every day. NCOs like SGT Supeck are among the finest in the Army and Johnathan couldn't have asked for a better SGT as a mentor and advocate. I was not present on July 1st but wish I could have been. I was at home on leave, my absence that day has never sat well with me....

Jonathan,
I still remember teaching you how to ride your motorcycle before we left down range, I will never forget the joy you would give my son when you played with him, till this day I still carry your ID tag with me it has taken a long time for me to do this but it is time love you and miss you, me and my family will always remember you, you were my best soldier that is why I rode you so much! You and your family will always be in my heart. SSG. Sanchez

I was behind a car today that paid tribute to Jonathan. It's Election Day and the painful cost of a brother, son, and friend for this country is immeasurable. Thank you, dearly, for your service.
