Not sure what to say?

Jon, I learned of your passing late last week, I've tried to find you on Facebook in the past as I've wondered how and where you were (and if you remembered that we often joked about you being a bigtime businessman, who I would contact to request donations for the social service agency I'd be working at). I would say that I randomly googled you last week, but I don't think it was so random- at the start of the week, Sunday, as my children and I sat outside a donut shop, waiting for it to get...

I knew Jon from our time as roommates in our first days in the Peace Corps, and I can attest to the fact that he was a wonderful guy. I only recently learned of his passing, but Jon has been with me over the years and he'll continue to be. I cannot compare anyone else who was in my life such a short time but made such a huge impact.

I just wanted to send a note to say how sorry I was to learn of Jon's death. Having been abroad for over a year now, I just found out. What an amazing amount of accomplishments I just read about, in such a short period of time. I played four years of football with Jon at Bowdoin. I can still remember Coach Soule calling him "Bandit," and yelling that name every time we did punt-block drills. I'm stunned and very sad right now. What a stamp he left not just in New England but Haiti and other...

To Jon's mom & dad, brother, his beloved Susanne, and all of his friends who loved him:

I only found this guest book today, nearly a year after, because as usual he was on my mind as he is everyday and I randomly googled him. I met Jon on my 21st birthday when he sat down across from me at our cafeteria table in Danmark. He never did learn Danish, but from that day on he became my friend. I have so many letters from him over the years, pictures in Prague, postcards from Spain &...

I met Jon about a year before he was diagnosed and we instantly connected. Through the time of his sickness, I visited him in the hospital and at home during his initial rounds of treatments. Unfortunately, I moved for work and found out this evening of his passing, which took me by surprise.
I am truly sorrry for your loss. Jon was an amazing man who impacted my life, as well as many others, in so many ways.
He will be missed and his memory will be cherished in my heart forever.

I attended the Kellogg School of Management with Jonathan. He was always very upbeat with a bright smile. I saw him last at our 5 year reunion. He will be missed. My prayers are with his family.

Tonight I received a Google Alert for my son, Jonathan Scholes. I have received them often, but they were almost always for "the other" Jonathan Scholes-- the man who worked at Genzyme, travelled with the Peace Corps, and lived a phenomenal life. I told my Jon about the other young man who shares his name-- that he was an MBA ( my son is studying Business Administration in college). I hoped they could meet someday-- we also live in Massachusetts. Through the Alerts I felt that I knew "the...

I was just thinking about past friends that I missed and decided to search for Jonathan online. To my dismay I learned that he had passed. I am deeply saddened by this news.

I knew Jon from my elementary school years through my college years. He was always jovial and kind. Jon was an all around great person that you knew would do great things. My first memory of Jon was back in elementary school. All the kids would fight over Jon to have him on their kickball team. He was the...

I went to high school with Jon at Albany Academy. Great person. i just found out today. I send all my love to the family.
