WORCESTER- Jonathan J. “Jon” Shedd, 25, of 45 Proctor Street, Worcester, died Wednesday morning in Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after an illness.
He leaves his mother and step-father, Doreen A. (Dickman) Genna and Sandy J. Genna of Sterling; three brothers, Gary P. Shedd, Jr. of Pittsfield, Vermont, Anthony B. and Michael T. Genna both of Sterling; his fiancé, Melanie Hanson of Worcester; his paternal grandparents, Warren and Beverly (Coderre) Shedd of Arcadia, Florida; his maternal grandparents, James T. and Virginia M. (Chumsae) Dickman of Shrewsbury; also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jonathan’s father, Gary P. Shedd, Sr. died in 1980.
Mr. Shedd was born in Worcester and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School.
Mr. Shedd had worked for 1 ½ years as a Real Estate Appraiser for Sterling Appraisals in Sterling.
Mr. Shedd enjoyed several hobbies and sports including, camping, golfing, surfing. He also worked part-time as a ski instructor for Wachusett Mountain Ski Area in Princeton.
Mr. Shedd’s funeral will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2003 from the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, (brittonfuneralhomes.com) 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury with a funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in Saint Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 1, 2003 from 5-8 P.M. in the funeral home.
