Not sure what to say?

Thinking of you this Veterans Day holiday. The memory of the tragedy always seems like yesterday. It’s been 16 years and my love for you remains. Until we meet again. Rest well my sweet guardian angel.

Love always,
Your wife/widow,
Mrs. Shields

As I was quick to join the war, and came back. I was quick to send my son, also. But, now I don't know if I would do it again. I thank you for your bravery. God still has a plan for you. I salute and wish I could give you this medal. Not forgotten

My heart will forever be broken for the families who lost loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan. My son came back without injuries. I try not to take that for granted. I continue to ask the Lord to comfort you the family of Sgt Shields. Thank-you again for his service & his sacrifice.

Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Jonathan B. Shields US Army Sergeant.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by...

Jonathan will never be forgotten. Our family remains grateful to him for his sacrifice for our country even after all these years.

To love and give me your whole heart, so effortlessly, will be one of the many memories I will cherish for a lifetime. May the angels continue to shower you with peace and love.
Gone but you will never be forgotten.

Love always,
DeAnna Shields
