Not sure what to say?

I send my sincere condolences to all his family and friends. I had the the great opportunity to see Jon perform solo and then with David Grisman on the same night, at the famed Golden Bear in Huntington Beach CA. Only had a brief conversation with him, but his playing has left a lasting impression on me. What a great talent.

Jon was my cousin. I just heard this sad news today from my mother, Patricia, who was Jon's Aunt. We send our heartfelt condolences to Betty and Evan. We lost touch, but I was just thinking of Jon and our other cousin this weekend. Memories of childhood, then Passover dinners as well as my parents anniversary party. Sending prayers.

We played together once, at Dickinson. I was awful, and drunk, even fell off the stage. You were unbelievably wonderful, inspiring, kind, gentle, encouraging, and supportive. I learned so much from you, and shall always remember you with the highest regard, and am deeply sorrowful over your passing. I miss you and your spirit, was uplifted to find that you married and had a son. Some of us are gone, but those of who are not will always remember you with huge fondness. I know I speak for...

Great guy, great guitar player and a great friend. I was very lucky to have known and played with him. My condolences to his family, he will be missed, but never forgotten! Thank God we have his music to remember him by. Feeling like a little catfish for supper right now!

Jon had a great generosity of spirit. I was fortunate to have played music with him on a number of occasions; each was a learning experience. I also felt a kinship with him because we shared the same birthday. I was awed by the quiet dignity and courage with which he faced the inevitable. I miss him. My deepest condolences to Betty and all Jon's family.

Jon Sholle, Elizabeth, and Evan were our next-door neighbors for years. We liked them very much from the day we met. Additionally he was my instructor in guitar and dulcimer. I still don't know how he put up with my ineptitude. It must have simply been his loving approach to people.
Emily & I feel sorry for Elizabeth and Evans loss.

Jon was a guitar hero of mine for many years. I was honored to have the opportunity to play with him and to know him as a person. He was really a wonderful guy. He helped me change a flat tire!

May your beloved R.I.P and may aching hearts be comforted by memories shared with Jonathan along with God's promise to us at Isa:26:19

We will miss him
I was so lucky to see him at the reunion and enjoyed his music from high school on
