I got to know John through my daughter Kate. They met many years ago at Fellowship Place and were very good friends. She introduced me to John and that began a friendship with me that lasted all these years. John came along with us on occasion to the Irish Festival in North Haven. He was a lot of fun and was well versed on world matters. He would keep us informed on things. We will surely miss him and may he rest in peace.

I´ve known Jon since I was 14 year´s old , and Jon was likely 20, through my friendship with his youngest brother , Jefferson . Jon was always highly intelligent , very engaging and eager to discuss his MANY interests , and he was just a very sweet man . I would also add that he had a magnetic and classic handsomeness that was striking and only added to his dignified aura . The world lost a kind , good , intelligent soul .

I work at Fellowship Place and have known John for several years. I so enjoyed the stories he told me and all the people he had discovered that he was related to. I will miss him a lot.
