Not sure what to say?

We wanted to express our sympathy, and feel sad for your deep sorrow.

To the Skoubye family,
I know somewhat of your sadness at this time. I lost my son to brain cancer one year ago last August at 24 years old. I see that one of my sons already signed this guestbook and told you what I wanted you to know. We live in the Falcon Park Ward and Jon came by with a card and visited with my son, expressing his sadness at not getting to know him better before. The day of the funeral, he showed up at our doorstep unannounced, with a meal that he had prepared...

I served along side Elder Skoubye in Jamaica. Elder Skoubye was such a great freind and I will always remember the good times we had. He was a very good missionary and really was brilliant. My heart goes out to the Skoubye family, he will be greatly missed.

Dear Skoubye's,

I attended CEU with Jon many years ago, and he touched my life in many ways more than I can express. I was told of his death and funeral via telephone from a friend who still lives in Utah.

I am terribly sorry to hear that he was taken from this earth, and do hope that you are able to find the comfort you are seeking to overcome this life's trial. I know that he is in a wonderful place, and the wonderful people who meet him there will be blessed...

Skoubye Family,

I saw the Jonathan’s obituary on Tuesday but I didn't realize who he was until I received a call from one of his friends after the funeral. I wanted share a quick story about your son and how he touched the life of my family. My younger brother died of cancer just over a year ago. Johathan was the only person from the singles ward, outside of close friends, who came to visit my brother (multiple times) as he fought cancer and who attended the funeral after he...

I knew Elder Skoubye as a new missionary in Portmore, his first mission area. I remember him well because he so captured the qualities of a true missionary, humble and willing to follow wherever the Lord would lead. My heart goes out to your family. But I know that you must be comforted by the kind of life Elder Skoubye led.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Jonathan, but consoled by the thought that if anyone was prepared to move on, it was Jonathan. I have had time over the past few days to reflect on the example that Jonathan left behind. He was one who always did what was right regardless of the "popular" opinion. He will forever have my respect and admiration for his faith and integrity. His example has had a profound influence on my life.

The funeral service this morning was truly...

Dear Annette and Family,
I hope you won't mind me coming on again and telling you of my Love for each of you. Jon's farewell this morning was outstanding, but couldn't have been anyother way for such a gifted young man. I know that you as parents, have to be well pleased at what a wonderful son you have raised. The Spirit was there stronger than I have felt in a long time. We truly are kindred spirits and I want you to know again of my Love and Friendship and Sisterhood I feel for you...

I know that Jonathan was raised by some of the best parents and family that anyone could ever ask for. May the Holy Ghost grant you extra comfort and peace at this time in your life. I would like to thank the Skoubye family for the influence they have been in my life and in the lives of many others.
