I am so sorry to hear of Jon's passing. He was a really good friend a long time ago and then we drifted further apart over the years. Annually for 50 years in July I would think of him and think about trying to get in touch again. I never did and now feel sad about the missed opportunity. We grew up together in Peter Cooper Village, he introduced me to several of his Friend's School friends, and he was best-man at my wedding in 1966. I am so sorry for your loss. Just this morning I was researching some of my past work, which included the Business Council for the United Nations, when I came across his obituary. Jonathan was our legal counsel through D&P in the 1980's. He also helped me set up my consulting business. He had a good working relationship with our board and our President, Roger Enloe. He was always there for us. My sincere condolences to the Small family.

I was a Fletcher Board colleague of Jon for more than a decade . We met only at the Board meeting which I attended infrequently because I live in India . But it was always a pleasure . I am saddened by his departure .He was such a warm and friendly person. It was a pleasure to sit around the same table as him. Please accept my deepest condolences .
