Angelus Funeral Home - San Antonio Obituary

Our beloved Jonathan Andrew Smith – age 26 – passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was born May 21, 1997 to loving parents Christopher Smith and Teresa Tidwell of San Antonio, TX. Jonathan was alumni from Saint Monica’s Catholic School, Kitty Hawk Middle School and Judson High School. After graduation, he joined the family business with his dad, grandfather and uncle at Anderson Machinery Company.

Jonathan was a student of life and loved to learn about everything he possibly could; making him the go-to for information amongst friends and family alike. He was passionate about these same friends and family, as well as his precious cats, gaming, animation and his Tesla. During his life, Jonathan was a social beacon – he brought people together to share good times, food and lots of laughs. More recently, Jonathan developed a growing interest for new experiences such as travel, outdoor activities and all the experiences life has to offer.

Above all, Jonathan’s smile was as big as his heart and everyone always felt his generosity, quick wit and unwavering love.

Jonathan was preceded in death by grandparents Raymond and Sylvia Paez; and uncle Manuel Paez. He is survived by his parents Christopher Smith and Teresa and Kevin Tidwell, grandparents Rosie and Pryor Smith, uncles Robert Perez - Joshua Smith and his aunt Naomi Camargo; as well as numerous great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins and extended family.

SO MUCH about genuine LOVE & compassion for ALL.
SO MUCH that will fill our hearts FOREVER! Thank you.

Most BEAUTIFUL SOUL I've ever known.

Funny you never realized all the hearts you were filling with JOY.

We now need your BEAUTIFUL COLORFUL WINGS &BRIGHT LIGHT to carry us through...

In Loving Memory of Jonathan, son/grandson.

A young soul, gone too soon.
In heaven's embrace, a precious bloom.
With tender smiles and joyful laughter,
He brought happiness, now and after.

Though he's no longer by your side,
His spirit in your heart will reside.
The memories cherished, forever dear,
A bond of love that will never disappear.

In this time of sorrow, lean on those near,
Family and friends to wipe each tear.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
