Townsend, Jonathan James (Spike) 18, of Princeton, MN, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at North Memorial Hospital, Robbinsdale as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Jonathan was born to James and Kelly (Van Heel) Townsend at North Memorial Hospital, Robbinsdale. He graduated from Princeton High School in June, 2007. Jonathan had planned to attend WyoTech in Laramie, WO starting this fall in the custom automotive program. Jonathan loved to skateboard, listen to music, going to and participating in car shows, hanging out with this friends and family, working on his 1972 Monte Carlo, being with his girlfriend, Morgan, and just enjoying every day of life. He is survived by his parents; brother, Alex; grandparents, Frances Townsend, Richard & June Van Heel; aunts, uncles, cousins, special friend Kristine; girlfriend Morgan; best friend Allen; and many, many friends. Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 10 AM at the New Life Christian Center, Princeton with private inurnment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home, Princeton and after 9 AM at the church on Thursday. Kell, Jim and Alex, We think about Jonathan all the time. We are so glad we got to see you all last summer before we moved to Guam. I am glad I got to fly home even for one night to give a hug after the accident. Our boys were all great friends and it still is hard to believe Jonathan is not around. I am crying as I am typing this. We loved him like a son and we will never forget him. I can't wait till Rich retires and we can hang out together again. We need to make up for time for...
